REVIEW – Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)

Tom Cruise returns for his sixth outing as Ethan Hunt and proves yet again that he is no mood of slowing down. The sixth instalment of the Mission series begins with a mission going south. Ethan, Benji and Luther lose three plutonium cores to the Apostles, a rogue terrorist organisation formed off the ashes of the Syndicate. The IMF now must recover the plutonium and save the world from the evil clutches of an evil terrorist named John Lark. What follows is a globe-trotting, fast paced, action spectacle that ends up being the best of this 22-year old franchise. This is the first Mission film to retain the Director from a previous instalment and Chris McQ does a terrific job at giving this one a completely different aesthetic look and feel from Rogue Nation.
